CHC at Health Expo Over the Weekend

May 20, 2014

CHC Physical Therapy was an exhibitor at THE RITE AIDE HEALTH AND FITNESS EXPO at the Cleveland IX Center over the weekend of May 17, 2014. CHC Physical Therapy's focus is on pain; the pain that limits or prevents a runner's performance.

Shin splints, bunions, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, IT Band Syndrome, anterior knee pain and heel pain are successfully treated at CHC Physical Therapy.

Full movement of the ligaments, tendons, muscles and bones in the hip, knee, ankle and foot is required to prevent the onset of pain. Full movement of the nerves is also required but is often ignored in the treatment of pain.

Following an inflammatory process after a minor or major injury, which is common among runners, scar tissue is formed. Scar tissue limits movement. Standard runner’s stretches restore that movement in most tissues. However, if the nerve is entrapped in the scar tissue, standard stretches could cause more inflammation and pain. There is a science to restoring the nerves ability to accommodate the movement and compressive forces running requires. CHC Physical Therapy specializes in this science. With the correct treatment, pain is abolished and the ability to run long distances is restored in a short time.
