Terese Seroka, PT
I am a physical therapist with a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Louis University. While at St. Louis University I also obtained my training to sit for the Athletic Trainers Exam.
I have also been credentialed in “Vestibular Rehabilitation”.
During my 25 years as a physical therapist I have had a special interest in orthopedics, pediatrics and vestibular rehabilitation. Early in my career I worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting and did athletic training hours in the evening and on weekends. Then as I married and started a family, I began to increase my work with the pediatric population first at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, then I contracted into the school system. It was during this time working with children that I became interested in vestibular rehabilitation for children. By treating the vestibular “balance” system I gained tremendous results with a child’s overall motor skills and attention in the classroom. Without attention to balance, problems in early childhood growth and development can be altered for years to come. Once the vestibular system is corrected, orientation in space is improved, and postural adjustments and treatments can be made. This treatment applies to all people from young to old.
I am skilled in establishing balance programs for all ages and do this by evaluating and treating the vision, vestibular, and mechano-sensory components of balance.
My goal is to educate people in the right physical therapy exercises and programs to improve the quality of life. One does not have to live with the age old answer, “you’re just getting old, live with it”.
